TASK DEFINING:
The client´s request was to change a rather large desolate terrace in a tenement into a pleasant relaxation place.
An important part of the plan was to use the disassembled balcony components from Vinohrady. (See A Balcony on the March: Part One, Vinohrady)
SOLUTION:
The basis of the new balcony look is a terrace floor on which chairs and a table will be placed. Two more window boxes were added to the two window boxes brought from Vinohrady. All those were planted with undemanding plants that can flourish in extreme conditions of the terrace and will provide sufficiency of privacy in the future.
The view of the wooded hills was preserved.
The disassembled components from Vinohrady including the stone sculpture form pieces of the whole composition. Granite boulders were used for replenishment.
The design was approved and the terrace was built without any complications.
BUDGET:
The cost of the entire contract including the new window boxes and plants did not exceed CZK 45,000.

It is philosophy, it is an area with its own life and charisma.
It is also a reflection of its creator´s approach combining a rare cocktail of creativity, humanity, knowledge and humility.
Cooperation with Mr Šubrt is not business to all intents and purposes. It's a learning process, co-creating and discovering.
It´s a process that results in beauty, enrichment and joy for both the eye and the soul. “
